Koshi Nakanishi, director of Resident Evil Requiem, has shared some exciting updates for fans of the franchise. In a special message, the developer celebrated the title's massive success, surpassing 5 million copies sold in less than a week, and detailed what lies ahead for the game.
In addition to guaranteeing that the team remains focused on performance patches and technical fixes, Nakanishi revealed that new content is on the way. Among the community's most requested additions, the long-awaited Photo Mode will finally be implemented. The feature will arrive alongside a bonus minigame, both part of what the director described as a "May surprise."

The highlight of the announcement was the official confirmation of a story expansion. While Nakanishi kept plot details under wraps, well-known insider AestheticGamer has reported that the DLC is already in advanced stages of production. According to the leak, the content will focus on fan-favorite protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, with a release expected mid-year. Resident Evil Requiem is currently available for PC, current-gen consoles, and the new Nintendo Switch 2.
