Accessibility Statement
At Portal X Video Games (Portal XVG), we believe that information about the gaming universe should be available to everyone. Our commitment is to remove barriers and ensure that our website is accessible to people with disabilities, providing an inclusive and equal browsing experience.
We want everyone to be able to read our reviews, check the news, and navigate the menus, regardless of the assistive technology they use or their specific abilities.

1. Our Standards (The "Rulebook")
We are continuously working to implement the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). Our goal is to achieve at least level AA compliance.
This means that we strive to ensure that:
Perception: The information and interface components should be presented in a way that everyone can understand.
Operability: Navigation can be done using a keyboard or other input devices, not just a mouse.
Comprehension: The language should be clear and the functionalities predictable.
Robustness: The website should be compatible with different browsers and assistive technologies (screen readers).
2. Measures We Have Adopted
To ensure accessibility on the XVG Portal, we have implemented the following practices on our platform (Wix):
Alternative Text (Alt Text): We work to ensure that all significant images (such as game screenshots and banners) have text descriptions for screen reader users.
Heading Structure: We use a clear hierarchy of headings (H1, H2, H3) to facilitate reading and navigation.
Color Contrast: We aim to use color combinations that ensure good readability between the text and the background.
Keyboard Navigation: The site is structured to allow navigation using the Tab key, ensuring that links and buttons are accessible without using the mouse.
Responsive Design: The layout adapts to different screen sizes and allows zooming without loss of functionality.
3. Limitations and Continuous Improvements
Despite our best efforts to ensure full accessibility, we know that the web is vast and some areas of the site may have temporary limitations, especially with very old content or third-party plugins.
We view accessibility as a "continuous journey," not a one-time phase. We are constantly monitoring and applying updates ("patches") to improve the experience.
